About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential engineering and construction management organization in Düsseldorf that specializes in complex commercial building projects. Our talent team is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (m/f/d) to lead high-profile construction initiatives from concept through completion. This role offers significant responsibility for steering major building projects while working alongside specialized engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and control demanding commercial construction projects across all project phases with full accountability for successful delivery
• Ensure project objectives are met regarding costs, schedules, and quality standards while actively managing project-related opportunities and risks
• Coordinate and lead all internal and external project stakeholders with a focus on efficient, solution-oriented collaboration
• Monitor project progress through regular quality controls and site inspections, implementing corrective measures proactively when needed
• Participate in new project acquisition and advise clients on the development of forward-thinking project strategies

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed university degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or comparable qualification
• Multiple years of experience in project leadership, project control, or management of complex commercial building projects
• Confident presence, strong decision-making abilities, and proven capacity to lead projects and project teams to successful outcomes
• Solid knowledge of contract law, procurement regulations, and construction law, combined with strong understanding of economic contexts
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills when dealing with clients, authorities, specialist planners, and other project partners
• Fluency in German is required for this position; English skills are beneficial
