Manager, Quality Assurance

VWR is hiring a Manager, Quality Assurance at our Phillipsburg, NJ facility to lead quality and compliance initiatives across our operations. This is a full-time, on-site role.

About This Position

As Manager of Quality Assurance, you will oversee and direct all quality control, testing, documentation, and regulatory compliance activities. You'll lead a team dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety while ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and internal policies. This role reports to senior operations leadership and plays a critical part in safeguarding our reputation and meeting customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor the quality assurance team, establishing performance metrics and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Develop, implement, and oversee quality control procedures, testing protocols, and inspection systems
• Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies
• Review and approve product testing data, analytical results, and quality documentation
• Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints; implement corrective and preventive actions
• Conduct internal audits and manage external audits and regulatory inspections
• Coordinate with production, supply chain, and management to resolve quality concerns and prevent recurrence
• Track and report quality metrics, trends, and performance indicators to leadership

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Minimum 5 years of quality assurance or quality control experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Proven experience managing a QA team or leading quality initiatives
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (FDA, ISO, GMP, or similar) and quality standards
• Experience with laboratory testing, analytical methods, or product validation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities
• Experience with quality management systems and documentation practices
