E-Commerce Manager (Shopify)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential direct-to-consumer e-commerce organization seeking an E-Commerce Manager with deep Shopify expertise. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a complex, multi-market storefront and drive meaningful improvements to the customer experience and conversion funnel.

As the E-Commerce Manager, you'll be the operational owner of the Shopify ecosystem, managing everything from promotions and merchandising to landing pages, apps, and cross-market operations. This is not a development-focused role—instead, you'll combine strong platform management skills with conversion optimization thinking to keep the storefront running smoothly and continuously improving.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Shopify storefront operations including promotions, pricing updates, merchandising changes, and routine maintenance across multiple international markets
• Design and build high-converting landing pages and optimize post-purchase customer journeys
• Oversee third-party Shopify apps and integrations, evaluating their operational impact and maintaining an organized technology ecosystem
• Serve as first point of contact for website issues, troubleshooting operational problems and coordinating technical escalations when needed
• Ensure operational readiness for campaigns, product launches, and promotional rollouts across relevant markets
• Support conversion rate optimization through storefront improvements, customer journey analysis, and friction point identification
• Maintain accuracy and consistency across Shopify Markets operations
• Collaborate closely with Customer Experience, Operations, Development, and Growth/Marketing teams to execute e-commerce initiatives

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of hands-on Shopify e-commerce operations experience, with strong expertise across Shopify Markets, storefront merchandising, apps/integrations, and conversion optimization
• Proven experience managing Shopify storefronts across multiple international markets
• Strong understanding of third-party Shopify apps, integrations, and platform operations
• Experience managing e-commerce merchandising, promotions, pricing updates, and operational workflows
• Track record designing or optimizing landing pages and improving conversion through UX and customer journey improvements
• Demonstrated ability to independently own complex Shopify workflows beyond pure development work
• Familiarity with behavioral analytics tools such as post-purchase surveys and session recording platforms
• Direct-to-consumer or e-commerce brand experience strongly preferred
• Exceptional attention to detail with ability to maintain accuracy across complex, multi-market operations
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills working with CX, Operations, Development, and Marketing teams
• Ability to work with full UK timezone overlap

Location & Work Arrangement

This is a remote position based in Sri Lanka, requiring full overlap with UK business hours. Initial training will require in-person attendance during the first 3.5 weeks.
