Senior Full-Stack Engineer (all genders) | Backend or Frontend Focus

Responsibilities

Our client, a confidential e-commerce organization, is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer who can focus on either backend or frontend development while maintaining full-stack awareness. In this role, you will:

• Handle complex technical dependencies independently to ensure smooth integration across the system landscape
• Drive continuous performance optimization by identifying and addressing bottlenecks throughout the application ecosystem
• Develop and maintain complex web applications autonomously using PHP, Vue.js, and Node.js
• Manage system monitoring and integrate tools like Datadog to ensure high performance and reliability
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices to support long-term architecture goals
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to cross-functional teams as a key technical consultant

What We're Looking For

We are representing our client in the search for a senior engineer with the following qualifications:

• Strong hands-on expertise in Vue.js and TypeScript (Frontend track) AND/OR modern PHP with Symfony (Backend track), with comfortable full-stack awareness
• Operational excellence demonstrated through knowledge of modern testing, debugging, monitoring, and deployment techniques
• Adaptive technical thinking to build responsive applications across various API paradigms with solid infrastructure understanding
• Proactive communication skills, ownership mentality, and ability to challenge inefficient processes
• Fluency in English (C1 level) and comfort working in international environments

This is a permanent, full-time or part-time position available remotely within Germany or from offices in Köln, Darmstadt, Düsseldorf, or Berlin.
