About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential professional services firm in search of a Market Research Analyst to join their team remotely from South Africa. This is a fully remote position supporting internal research priorities across sectors and business intelligence functions.

Our client values structured analytical work, clear communication, and the ability to manage research independently. You'll be gathering, organising, and analysing information to support strategic business decisions, working directly with internal stakeholders in a flat organisational structure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research across various sectors, companies, and business topics
• Gather, verify, and organise information from multiple sources with attention to accuracy
• Prepare summaries, briefs, and research outputs for internal stakeholders
• Analyse findings and present them in clear, structured formats
• Track developments, trends, and relevant market activity as required
• Maintain research files, reference materials, and working documents
• Support ad hoc research requests with strong turnaround times
• Contribute to continuous improvement of research processes and documentation

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Experience in market research, business research, intelligence, or a related analytical role
• Strong ability to work with information in a structured and accurate manner
• Excellent written English and the ability to present findings clearly
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to source accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities effectively
• Confidence working independently in a remote environment
• Good judgement when handling research requests and interpreting findings
• Comfortable using online research tools, spreadsheets, and standard office software

Preferred:

• Experience supporting business, commercial, or strategy-focused research
• Exposure to company research, competitor research, or industry analysis
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets capability
• Experience preparing slides, summaries, or briefing materials
• Familiarity with professional services, recruitment, or consulting environments
