About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential software consultancy based in München that is looking for a working student to join their Information Security, Business Continuity, and Compliance team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in how security awareness and automation intersect in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
You will own the development of internal communication formats that make complex security and business continuity topics accessible to employees—and then automate the workflows that keep those materials current and compliant. This role balances creative communication with technical automation, making it ideal for students who want to build both skillsets.
Responsibilities
- Design and build awareness formats that employees actually read: microlearning modules, intranet content, onboarding materials, and quick-reference guides for emergency response.
- Create Business Continuity Management (BCM) content including role cards, emergency response one-pagers, and crisis communication templates—materials that must be understood in thirty seconds during an incident.
- Plan, support, and evaluate internal awareness campaigns and BCM exercises; analyze what worked, what was ignored, and how to improve next time.
- Automate content generation and distribution: use AI-assisted tools to produce multiple formats from a single source, maintain German and English versions, and trigger updates when policies or emergency plans change.
- Build and maintain automated workflows in Jira, Confluence, and AI-supported platforms to keep intranet, documentation, and onboarding packages current.
- Research emerging threat topics and translate them into accessible internal communications.
- Maintain compliance documentation for ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and TISAX certifications in your domain: training records, exercise protocols, and lessons-learned tracking.
- Support internal and external audits by compiling evidence, documenting audit questions, and tracking follow-up actions.
Important note: This role focuses on organizational, communication, and process aspects of information security and business continuity. You will not be managing technical systems—those are handled by the IT team. If the strategic and human side of security excites you, this is the right fit.
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program such as IT Security Management, (Business/Media) Informatics, Security Management, Corporate Security Management, Risk & Security Management, Corporate Governance, Risk & Compliance, or a comparable field with IT focus.
- Enthusiasm for automation—whether through scripts, workflows, or prompt engineering.
- Interest in information security and business continuity with emphasis on organizational challenges. Prior knowledge of ISO 27001, ISO 22301, or TISAX is not required.
- Self-starter with a structured, reliable work style and the ability to take ownership of your projects.
- Very good German and good English language skills.
- Availability to work 16–20 hours per week during the semester, with flexibility to increase hours during semester breaks and reduce during exam periods.
