About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential industrial automation organization in the Braunschweig area. Our client specializes in automated warehousing and logistics systems, serving national and international customers with custom mechanical installations. This field service technician role offers extensive travel opportunities and hands-on experience with cutting-edge storage and material handling technology.

As a field service technician, you will work independently across your region and internationally, with typical assignments lasting two to three weeks. This position requires 100% travel availability and suits someone who thrives in varied environments and enjoys problem-solving on customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly and installation of automated systems at customer locations nationally and internationally
• Conduct independent commissioning and start-up procedures for new installations
• Support structural steel positioning and component integration during builds
• Execute service and maintenance assignments for the global customer base
• Work with custom-engineered solutions tailored to individual client requirements
• Maintain quality standards while adapting to diverse site conditions and project specifications

What We're Looking For

• Completed technical vocational training (mechatronics, electronics, or related field)
• Entry-level candidates welcome; relevant experience in mechanical or automation service is a plus
• Strong communication skills in German and English (French is desirable but not required)
• Self-directed work style with proven ability to collaborate in team settings
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including international assignments of multiple weeks
• Valid Class B driver's license
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project schedules and customer environments
