Senior Systems Engineer (Identity and Access)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global logistics organization in their search for a Senior Systems Engineer specializing in Identity and Access Management. This is a fully remote position open to candidates anywhere in the world.

Our client operates in a heavily regulated industry where secure, compliant identity management is mission-critical. You'll architect and maintain IAM solutions that protect sensitive data across a growing SaaS ecosystem while driving automation that scales faster than headcount. This role combines deep Okta expertise with broad IT generalist skills—you'll be the technical authority on identity while also overseeing core collaboration platforms and endpoint management.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end Identity and Access Management platforms with Okta as the cornerstone
• Administer directory services, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and advanced password management solutions
• Manage core collaboration and productivity tools including Google Workspace, Microsoft O365, Slack, and Jira/Confluence
• Oversee global fleet management for Mac and Windows devices using Jamf and Microsoft Intune
• Build automated workflows for user provisioning, deprovisioning, and application access lifecycle management
• Establish and maintain role-based access control (RBAC), entitlement reviews, and access certification processes
• Lead technical onboarding of new SaaS applications for Single Sign-On (SSO) integration
• Partner closely with security teams to embed best practices throughout IT infrastructure
• Author technical operating procedures, engineering roadmaps, and compliance documentation
• Provide escalation support and technical leadership for complex IT operations

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in IAM systems engineering combined with broad IT infrastructure management
• Deep Okta expertise: hands-on mastery of Okta configuration, policy creation, and application integration
• IAM protocol knowledge: SAML, SCIM, OAuth, OIDC, IGA, RBAC, and LDAP
• Automation skills: proficiency with scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) and Okta Workflows
• SaaS ecosystem experience: proven track record managing Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, Jamf (macOS), and Intune (Windows)
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Compliance-first mindset: ability to navigate rigorous requirements in regulated environments
• Strong soft skills: excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication abilities
