Audio Engineer – Fully Remote | Upto $36/hr

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI research organization seeking an experienced Audio Engineer for a fully remote contract role. Our client is building cutting-edge music generation technology and needs skilled professionals who can evaluate audio quality and provide expert feedback to improve model performance.

This is a contract position based remotely in Austria, requiring 20+ hours per week for up to 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated music across multiple genres, assessing musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality
• Label and categorize songs by genre, structure, instrumentation, vocal characteristics, and other musical elements
• Review AI-generated lyrics and vocals against reference material to ensure quality and accuracy
• Work independently and asynchronously while meeting deadlines and contributing to model improvement
• Collaborate with research teams to enhance training data quality and model outputs

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Native or near-native proficiency in Hungarian, with the ability to follow detailed written instructions in English
• 2+ years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer
• Professional-grade headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening

Preferred:

• Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition
• Credited or commercially released production, engineering, or mixing work
• Broad familiarity with contemporary Hungarian genres, sub-genres, and artists
