Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join their distributed agile engineering teams. In this role, you will:
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks with comprehensive results reporting
- Build new QA automation tests in parallel with development of new user interfaces and features
- Support manual QA testing efforts and convert manual test cases into automated test cases
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Create and document detailed test plans in partnership with development teams
- Maximize test coverage for critical features and systems, prioritizing scenarios based on business risk
- Investigate, debug, and triage automation problems, implementing solutions independently or collaboratively
- Identify and report bugs with clear, efficient reproduction steps
- Perform root-cause analyses on technical challenges and implement resolutions
- Track defect progress and work closely with developers to ensure timely fixes
- Author and maintain technical documentation on automation frameworks and scripts
- Participate in functional and technical reviews to ensure quality standards throughout the development cycle
- Stay current with QA automation best practices, design principles, and emerging technologies
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of quality engineering automation testing experience in cloud-based environments (excluding internships)
- Proven experience with both manual and automated testing for user interfaces and web services
- Strong experience with QA automation frameworks, scripting, and coding
- Ability to work across the full technology stack, including front-end and back-end components
- Experience working in Linux and/or MacOS environments
- Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Self-sufficient, T-shaped engineer who can work effectively with internationally-distributed teams across multiple time zones
- Authorization to work in Brazil or another LatAm country
