Content & SEO Strategist

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital marketing agency seeking a Content & SEO Strategist to develop integrated content and organic search strategies for diverse clients. This fully remote role combines SEO expertise with strategic content planning to drive visibility, qualified traffic, and measurable business results.

You will work across teams—copywriters, SEO specialists, designers, developers, and account managers—to ensure content supports both search performance and broader marketing objectives. This is an opportunity to shape editorial direction, optimize for organic growth, and translate performance data into actionable strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop content and SEO strategies aligned with client goals, target audiences, and business objectives
• Conduct keyword research, search intent analysis, competitor research, and content gap analysis
• Build content plans and editorial calendars based on organic growth opportunities
• Identify opportunities to improve existing content, strengthen topical authority, and increase organic visibility
• Create SEO briefs and strategic direction for writers and content creators
• Optimize content for search engines while maintaining strong readability, relevance, and user experience
• Monitor organic traffic, rankings, engagement, conversions, and other key performance indicators
• Use performance data to refine content strategies and identify new growth opportunities
• Collaborate with SEO, creative, web, and account teams to deliver integrated client campaigns

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 3+ years of experience in content strategy, SEO, digital marketing, or a related field
• Strong understanding of SEO principles, keyword research, search intent, and content optimization
• Experience developing content strategies and editorial plans for multiple audiences or clients
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn performance data into actionable recommendations
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
• Experience with tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, or similar platforms
• Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively across teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience with technical SEO, content-led growth, or local SEO
• Background in SaaS or B2B marketing
• Conversion optimization experience
• Familiarity with AI-assisted content workflows
• Experience managing freelance writers and content teams
