Talent Acquisition, Executive Research Sourcer- Contract

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential biotechnology organization experiencing rapid growth in their research division. We are seeking an experienced Executive Research Sourcer to join them on a contract basis, working remotely from anywhere in the United States.

This strategic role goes beyond traditional sourcing—you'll serve as a talent intelligence advisor who builds sustainable pipelines of world-class scientific talent while developing deep market expertise across the global research ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Lead executive talent scouting initiatives for senior and highly specialized scientific positions across academia, biotechnology, pharmaceutical organizations, and research institutes
• Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies in partnership with recruiters, hiring managers, and research leaders to meet both immediate and future organizational needs
• Conduct comprehensive talent mapping and competitive landscape analysis across therapeutic areas, research platforms, and scientific disciplines
• Deliver actionable market intelligence on talent availability, organizational structures, competitive dynamics, and emerging scientific expertise
• Build and expand strategic networks within the global scientific community through major industry conferences (including JP Morgan Healthcare Conference), academic partnerships, professional associations, and innovation hubs
• Manage long-term relationships with distinguished scientists, research leaders, and emerging talent globally
• Create and maintain targeted talent communities aligned with priority therapeutic areas and research platforms
• Leverage advanced sourcing methodologies including AI-enabled technologies, scientific publications, patents, conference presentations, and professional networks
• Share market insights and best practices across the talent acquisition organization to build world-class sourcing capabilities

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in talent acquisition with 5+ years specifically in executive search, talent sourcing, or specialized scientific recruiting
• Proven track record identifying and engaging passive candidates for highly specialized or leadership-level positions
• Experience supporting biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or research-focused organizations
• Demonstrated expertise in talent mapping, organizational research, competitive intelligence, and market analysis
• Strong sourcing capability using LinkedIn Recruiter and other research platforms
• Excellent stakeholder management, consulting, and influencing skills
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate market intelligence into actionable business insights
• Outside-the-box thinking with a true sourcer/hunter/scout mindset

Preferred qualifications:

• Degree in life sciences, biology, biotechnology, pharmacy, chemistry, medicine, or related scientific disciplines
• Experience supporting executive-level or highly specialized research hiring
• Prior experience conducting strategic talent intelligence and workforce planning projects
• Familiarity with talent intelligence platforms such as LinkedIn Talent Insights, SeekOut, HireEZ, Talent Neuron, GEM, or similar solutions
• Strong understanding of the global scientific talent landscape and research ecosystem
