Marketing Einkauf Werkstudent (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential e-commerce organization seeking a Marketing Procurement Working Student to support their category management operations in Hamburg.

In this role, you will serve as the operational backbone of the team, working closely with category, brand, and cross-functional teams to maintain digital product catalogs and optimize performance across multiple regions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Product Creation and Onboarding: Create and set up new products in the system, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and ready for customers from day one.
• Tool Support and Validation: Support the implementation and use of automation tools, serving as a quality control checkpoint by critically evaluating processes and ensuring system outputs are correct.
• Product Performance Monitoring: Track sales and inventory anomalies, investigating system issues when high-priority items show poor performance or availability problems to maximize digital shelf revenue.
• Content and Storefront Optimization: Respond quickly to incomplete product presentations that hinder sales by addressing missing product photos or incomplete item information in the app.
• Supply Chain and Inbound Coordination: Support the team with daily commercial supply chain questions and resolve product delivery issues to ensure smooth operations.
• Team Collaboration: Provide strong operational support across various priority levels, working hand-in-hand with the category team to balance daily tasks effectively.

What We're Looking For

• Advanced Bachelor's degree or current Master's studies in Business Administration, E-Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a comparable field
• Sharp attention to detail, strong logical thinking, and natural curiosity to solve operational challenges
• Excellent organizational skills with a proactive attitude toward taking responsibility and managing daily workflows
• Genuine affinity for the food retail industry and enthusiasm for working with new software and automated systems
• Availability to support the team for 16-20 hours per week
• Fluent German and English language skills
• Experience with data analysis and process optimization is a plus
