IT-Systemadministrator & Datenschutzkoordinator (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital transformation consultancy in Würzburg seeking an IT System Administrator & Data Protection Coordinator. This is a full-time role starting January 2027, with partial remote work available.

This position blends hands-on IT system administration (approximately 60%) with an active role in data protection and AI governance (approximately 40%). You'll support daily operations, manage technical infrastructure, and bring your data protection expertise directly into organizational processes. You'll collaborate closely with departments, leadership, external service providers, and the data protection officer.

Responsibilities

IT System Administration & Support

• Administer Windows, macOS, and mobile device environments
• Manage user accounts, roles, and access permissions across systems
• Maintain Microsoft 365 environment including SharePoint Online
• Oversee hardware procurement, software licensing, and IT inventory management
• Serve as first point of contact for employee technical questions
• Coordinate with external IT service providers

Data Protection Coordination

• Act as internal liaison for data protection inquiries
• Support incident response for data protection events
• Contribute to data protection documentation, policies, and technical-organizational measures
• Plan and facilitate data protection training sessions across the organization

New Application & AI Solution Assessment

• Evaluate new tools and digital solutions from both technical and data protection perspectives, with particular emphasis on AI technologies
• Support development of internal AI testing systems
• Help establish guidelines for responsible AI deployment

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience in IT system administration or comparable technical role
• Practical experience in data protection coordination, including GDPR and AI Act compliance
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, particularly SharePoint Online and core M365 services
• Experience with access management and modern identity/authentication methods (SSO, MFA)
• Structured, independent working style with pragmatic problem-solving approach
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical and data protection topics clearly to diverse audiences
• German language proficiency required for this Würzburg-based position
