Controller (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential manufacturing organization with global operations, headquartered in Hamburg. Our talent team is seeking a Controller (m/w/d) to join their finance function and play a key role in steering financial planning and reporting across international operations.

This is a hands-on finance role combining core controlling responsibilities with strategic business partnership. You'll work closely with production and sales teams, contribute to system transformation initiatives, and help shape data-driven decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes to enable informed company-wide steering
• Prepare monthly and annual closing documentation with accuracy and timeliness
• Develop management reports, analyze key performance indicators, and provide clear commentary on financial trends
• Conduct business analyses and translate findings into actionable recommendations
• Act as Finance Business Partner for the Production department on operational questions; provide backup support for Global Sales controlling
• Design and refine KPIs to increase transparency and support evidence-based decisions
• Contribute proactively to projects, including participation in an upcoming ERP system transformation

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Business Administration with focus on Controlling, Finance, or Accounting
• Several years of controlling experience, ideally with exposure to production controlling
• Strong working knowledge of SAP FICO and ERP systems
• Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel
• Strong analytical and conceptual abilities paired with an independent, structured work style
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud or other BI tools is a plus
• Fluency in German is required for this role
