Direct Asset Finance Specialist

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization that is reimagining relationship banking for established SMEs across the UK. Our client's direct asset finance team is in an exciting growth phase, and we're seeking a specialist who will be instrumental in building and expanding their offering to the mid-market business community.

This is a Milton Keynes office-based role where you'll be at the forefront of delivering asset finance solutions directly to customers, managing relationships, and driving business development in a rapidly evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and relationship-manage a portfolio of asset finance customers, driving income in line with monthly, quarterly, and annual targets
• Serve as the first point of contact for all inbound asset finance enquiries, delivering exemplary customer service
• Originate new business through cold outreach, networking, and developing your own customer base within your territory
• Provide asset finance support and coverage to relationship managers via telephone and email
• Execute targeted marketing campaigns and manage new-to-bank prospects
• Structure new asset finance lending proposals and prepare credit applications
• Monitor and report on key business indicators and identify early warning signs in customer accounts
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless service delivery and achievement of annual lending budgets
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with key business introducers and professional networks
• Provide customer insights and feedback to product teams to drive continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

• Proven career progression in business development within the asset finance market
• Established introducer (non-broker) relationships and demonstrated relationship management capabilities
• Strong knowledge of asset finance products and SME business needs
• Ability to analyze and review financial accounts and associated information
• Experience structuring asset finance lending proposals and writing credit applications
• Knowledge and understanding of CRM systems
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset
• Outstanding time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple workstreams
• A curious mindset with a passion for improving processes through experience and customer feedback
• Commitment to treating customers fairly in all interactions
