About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential GovTech organization seeking a Quality Engineer with deep expertise in AI-driven testing and automation. This is a senior-level role focused on building scalable test frameworks, validating AI/GenAI systems, and driving intelligent quality engineering practices across the software development lifecycle.

The position is remote within the United States and offers the chance to work on enterprise SaaS products that serve government agencies and their communities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-enabled test automation frameworks using modern tools such as Cursor and Playwright
• Leverage AI capabilities to generate test cases from requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Build solutions for natural language–to–automation script generation
• Validate AI/GenAI-based features for correctness, safety, and reliability, including prompt-based validation
• Ensure data integrity and isolation in AI-driven workflows
• Build and maintain scalable, end-to-end automated testing frameworks across frontend UI, backend microservices, and data layers
• Establish and optimize AI-based CI/CD pipelines with continuous validation of models and integration workflows
• Design AI-driven load and performance testing using tools such as JMeter or k6
• Implement production monitoring strategies to track model performance and detect anomalies
• Act as a bridge between Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product Managers to ensure seamless delivery
• Identify and analyze complex issues including model drift, data inconsistencies, and system failures
• Mentor QE team members and drive quality goals across the organization

What We're Looking For

Required Experience and Skills:

• 7-10 years of experience in QA or Software Testing
• Proven experience in AI-augmented testing, automation, and performance testing using AI agents and IDEs like Cursor, Copilot, or similar
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript)
• Strong proficiency in prompt engineering to leverage AI tools for test design, execution, and analysis
• Knowledge of automation design patterns (Page Object Model, fixtures)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Proficiency with Git and version control workflows
• Understanding of performance metrics such as response time, throughput, error rate, and concurrency
• Experience testing SaaS, web-based applications for enterprise products
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an ownership mindset
• Clear and structured communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

Nice to Have:

• Experience testing AI/GenAI-based products or features
• Familiarity with AI frameworks, workflows, or agent-based systems
• Experience building or contributing to internal QA tools or platforms
• Exposure to test analytics, quality metrics, and data-driven QA practices
• Basic understanding of microservices architecture and cloud environments
