Video Data Collector (Smartphone)

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential technology client seeking Video Data Collectors to support an AI training initiative. This is a remote contract role available to candidates in the UK, Canada, India, Singapore, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia.

You'll capture real-world video footage using your smartphone to help train next-generation machine learning systems. No AI background is required—your ability to follow detailed instructions and produce quality recordings is what matters.

Responsibilities

• Record natural, first-person video footage of everyday activities using your personal smartphone with a head strap during the initial phase
• Follow detailed capture instructions and submit recordings through an internal platform with complete, accurate metadata
• Identify appropriate shooting locations within approved settings while maintaining privacy, consent, and safety compliance
• Transition to company-provided equipment in later phases, recording across public, commercial, and outdoor environments
• Coordinate group recordings when required, ensuring all participants provide written consent
• Maintain consistent data quality standards across all deliverables
• Communicate progress, challenges, and questions to project coordinators promptly

What We're Looking For

• Experience with video capture or similar data collection work, with strong attention to detail
• Access to a high-quality personal smartphone suitable for video recording (initial phase)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on accuracy
• Ability to follow complex instructions precisely, especially regarding privacy, consent, and metadata requirements
• Comfort working in both home and public environments for data collection
• Ability to collaborate and coordinate with others for group recording assignments
• Flexibility to adapt to new workflows and equipment as project requirements evolve
