Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential federal healthcare technology organization seeking a Technical Project Engineer to support critical claims processing systems. In this Product Owner role, you will drive product strategy and backlog management for an Agile development team working on Medicare healthcare technology solutions.

You will collaborate with government customers and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable product features. Your responsibilities include defining the product vision, maintaining roadmaps, and managing priorities across the full product lifecycle—from design through deployment. You'll partner closely with Scrum Masters and development teams to facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove blockers, and ensure delivery of sprint and release goals.

Day-to-day, you'll create and refine user stories, oversee backlog prioritization using tools like Jira and Confluence, and serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders. You'll participate in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) events including PI planning and system demos, while monitoring product progress and communicating outcomes to leadership.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 9+ years with a High School diploma
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, backlog management, sprint planning, and iterative delivery
  • Experience working within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), including PI planning and Agile ceremonies
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for managing backlogs, documenting requirements, and tracking progress
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in fast-paced environments
  • Technical writing and presentation skills
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred qualifications: Experience with Medicare systems (Part A, Part B, DME) or CMS healthcare claims processing; prior federal program experience; familiarity with TestRail or GitHub.
