About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential enterprise AI platform company in search of a Head of Design to lead their global creative vision. This is a strategic leadership role reporting to senior marketing leadership, with responsibility for shaping how a market-leading technology brand expresses itself across every customer and stakeholder touchpoint.

Following a recent brand refresh, our client needs a creative leader who can build on that momentum—maintaining consistency, elevating craft, and expanding design capabilities as the organization scales. You'll lead a talented multidisciplinary team across the US and Europe, partnering closely with Brand, Product Marketing, Growth, Events, and Executive Leadership.

This role requires someone who balances strategic thinking with hands-on creative direction, understands how to operate in a fast-moving B2B technology environment, and is excited about the intersection of exceptional design and emerging AI-powered tools.

Responsibilities

Brand Leadership & Creative Direction

• Apply and evolve the organization's recently refreshed global brand identity
• Maintain and expand design systems across marketing and corporate assets
• Ensure visual consistency across campaigns, digital experiences, events, presentations, web, social media, and customer communications
• Raise the overall quality and craft of all creative output

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary global design team
• Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning
• Improve creative workflows and project intake processes
• Balance competing priorities across a fast-moving global business
• Support career development and coaching for designers at all levels

Cross-Functional Partnership

• Collaborate with Brand, Communications, Product Marketing, and Growth Marketing teams
• Develop creative that supports brand campaigns, product launches, digital advertising, ABM programs, website experiences, executive presentations, and sales enablement
• Determine optimal balance between internal execution and external agency support

Experience Design

• Partner with Events and Brand teams to create memorable brand experiences at conferences, customer events, executive presentations, and internal gatherings
• Support branded merchandise programs, company store experiences, and environmental branding initiatives

Video & Motion Design

• Provide creative direction for customer stories, testimonials, thought leadership content, product launches, social video, and motion graphics
• Help evolve internal video capabilities and determine when to engage external production partners

AI-Powered Creative Workflows

• Champion thoughtful adoption of AI-powered creative tools
• Help designers work more efficiently through modern workflows
• Evaluate emerging creative technologies and share best practices
• Foster a culture of experimentation while maintaining exceptional craft

Agency & Partner Management

• Manage relationships with creative agencies, production partners, and freelancers
• Determine the right balance between internal and external resources
• Ensure quality and consistency across all vendor partnerships

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional design experience
• 3–5+ years leading and managing creative teams
• Experience managing teams of at least five designers
• Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional corporate brand work
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design projects
• Expertise across digital, web, campaigns, events, presentations, and brand systems
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders across Marketing and business functions
• Must be based on the East Coast of the US

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in B2B enterprise software or technology companies
• Background supporting high-growth organizations
• Experience partnering with Growth Marketing teams
• Experience managing agencies and freelance partners
• Interest in AI-powered creative tools and workflows
• Familiarity with motion design and video production workflows
