Client Strategy Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential market research and analytics firm seeking a Client Strategy Manager to support their growing institutional client base. This is a remote-friendly role based anywhere in the USA, working with investment funds and enterprise clients who rely on alternative data and strategic intelligence to drive high-stakes decisions.

As a Client Strategy Manager, you'll act as a trusted research partner—almost an extension of your clients' teams—by mastering complex data products, understanding investment narratives, and delivering proactive, real-time insights. You'll partner closely with Business Development Executives to drive engagement, renewals, and growth across your book of business.

Responsibilities

• Own and cultivate strategic relationships with institutional clients, becoming their go-to resource for product expertise and investment research
• Leverage deep product knowledge to drive user engagement and maximize value realization
• Act as a thought partner, providing top-tier service and advocating for client needs across internal teams
• Create and execute account growth and engagement strategies tailored to each client's investment process
• Manage commercial strategy by developing rapport with key decision makers
• Own the renewal process from start to finish, ensuring client retention and satisfaction
• Identify and execute upsell opportunities to expand contract value
• Contribute to building best-in-class Client Strategy practices within a growing team

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of client-facing experience in a strategic or account management capacity
• Proven ability to build strategic relationships that support renewals, partnerships, and business expansion
• Passion for making clients successful and genuine interest in investment research and financial markets
• Track record of proactively identifying value-adding opportunities and materializing them
• Comfort managing a high-touch, high-volume client base
• Self-starter mentality combined with strong team collaboration skills
• Energized by data-driven investment research and contributing to the future of alternative data analytics
• Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship (visa sponsorship not available)

Pay

This role offers competitive on-target earnings structure. The anticipated base salary is up to $110,000 plus a $40,000 gross retention bonus. Final compensation will be determined by experience, skills, and internal benchmarks. Note: Our client pays NYC-based salaries for US roles regardless of location; depending on your work location, income may be subject to New York State tax withholding.
