Lead / Senior Manager Fiber Customer Activation and Service provisioning (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential telecommunications infrastructure client in their search for a Lead/Senior Manager to build and oversee fiber customer activation and service provisioning operations. This is a strategic leadership role focused on scaling FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) customer connections in newly developed network regions.

Based in Düsseldorf with remote work options, you'll establish a new department from the ground up, managing field technicians and coordinating with network engineering teams to ensure efficient rollout and customer activation processes.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a new Fiber Customer Activation and Service Provisioning department within the technical organization
• Manage and coordinate field technicians responsible for customer activation and in-home cabling installations
• Work with network engineering colleagues to prioritize network expansion, including single-line processes and network densification
• Establish lean, efficient reporting processes that enable real-time tracking of all customer interactions
• Drive continuous team development and process optimization while maintaining daily operational excellence
• Ensure seamless coordination between activation teams and infrastructure deployment schedules

What We're Looking For

• Significant professional experience in fiber optic network deployment, specifically in customer activation and troubleshooting
• University degree in a technical or business discipline, or alternatively vocational training in telecommunications (fixed-line technical sector)
• Extensive experience with infrastructure projects or comparable FTTX rollouts
• Proven track record successfully managing and coordinating telecommunications projects with strong project management expertise
• Excellent German and English language skills
• Strong communication abilities and quick comprehension
• Valid Class B driver's license with willingness to travel within the deployment region and to Düsseldorf
• Leadership experience building and developing technical teams
