About This Opportunity

Our client, a leading sports and entertainment organization in Germany, is seeking a Senior Manager Creation & Design to join their brand presence team within the communications and brand directorate. This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) based in Frankfurt am Main, where you'll take creative and technical responsibility for sophisticated design projects while collaborating closely with brand management and team leadership.

As Senior Manager Creation & Design, you'll lead complex visual projects from briefing through rollout, translate brand strategies into compelling visual narratives, and help elevate the creative quality across the organization's diverse communication channels.

Responsibilities

• Concept & Creation: Lead complex design projects independently from initial briefing to final rollout, maintaining quality, timing, and applicability throughout
• Visual Strategy: Develop key visuals, image concepts, and modular design systems that precisely communicate brand narratives and identities
• Cross-Media Design: Conceive and execute communication materials across digital, social media, print, out-of-home, video, event, and venue branding
• Brand Identity Development: Evolve existing brand presences with contemporary design approaches and develop new visual foundations when needed
• Design Systems: Create and maintain design manuals, layout grids, templates, and asset libraries ensuring consistent application across all touchpoints
• Production Excellence: Execute final artwork, image editing, and compositing while preparing production-ready files for various output channels
• Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with internal departments, present design decisions effectively, and guide projects to successful outcomes
• Agency Partnership: Brief external creative partners clearly, manage their deliverables, and evaluate results against defined quality standards
• Creative Mentorship: Provide constructive feedback to colleagues, share methodologies, and strengthen design quality across the team in coordination with leadership
• Process Optimization: Monitor relevant design, technology, and industry trends, integrating valuable insights into standards, workflows, and applications

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in communication design, graphic design, media design, or comparable qualification
• Minimum six years of relevant professional experience in brand or communication design, ideally within sports, agency, or entertainment environments
• Compelling portfolio demonstrating conceptual strength, excellent design execution, and confident cross-media implementation
• Outstanding design competency with exceptional sensitivity for typography, composition, visual language, image aesthetics, color climate, and brand impact
• Proven experience developing, documenting, and applying modular corporate and brand design systems across multiple media
• Conceptual and strategic thinking ability to structure complex content and translate brand strategies into clear visual concepts
• Production and process expertise with solid knowledge of production methods for print, out-of-home, digital, video, and event branding, plus experience with asset and template management
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign required; After Effects or Premiere advantageous); Figma experience is a plus
• Project and stakeholder management skills to coordinate multiple projects systematically while communicating clearly with internal clients, agencies, and partners
• Feedback orientation and team collaboration skills with the ability to justify design decisions convincingly and share knowledge generously
• Self-initiative and flexibility with reliable, solution-oriented work approach and high quality standards; willingness for occasional travel and weekend/holiday assignments
• Professional German language proficiency required for this role
