About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential digital platform organization based in Wiesbaden. Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their international technology team. This is a hybrid role offering the opportunity to work on sophisticated web and mobile testing challenges in a collaborative, multi-cultural environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for web applications and native mobile apps (iOS and Android)
- Create and optimize test automation scripts using Playwright with JavaScript, maintaining existing automation frameworks and leveraging AI tools to accelerate workflows
- Perform functional, smoke, sanity, integration, localization, and regression testing across complex features including user registration, content posting flows, search/filtering logic, and subscription models
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, designers, and DevOps teams using a shift-left approach to identify issues early in the development lifecycle
- Investigate, document, and track bugs in Jira and Confluence, providing clear feedback and coordinating bug resolution
- Ensure platform quality across different environments prior to production launch and assist with release coordination
- Participate in cross-department alignment meetings with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support teams to safeguard release quality
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Ideally 2–5 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance and testing
- Strong knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies and the STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle)
- Experience with mobile application testing on iOS and Android platforms
- Hands-on experience creating and executing Playwright automation scripts using JavaScript or similar languages
- Experience with version control systems using Git and GitHub workflows
- Basic knowledge of SQL for performing direct database queries
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills
- Fluency in English
Preferred: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, API and performance testing, or exposure to AI-driven QA tools and intelligent automation platforms
