Senior Embedded Software Entwickler (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential energy technology organization seeking a Senior Embedded Software Developer in Braunschweig. In this role, you will develop intelligent, networked systems that actively contribute to energy efficiency and sustainability.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Developing embedded software solutions for central heating system controllers and future energy management platforms
• Contributing to the conception, planning, and implementation of embedded software projects from initial design through to series production
• Conducting software testing, error analysis, and troubleshooting to ensure product quality
• Optimizing development tools and CI/CD processes
• Working on hardware-close software development for resource-efficient, connected systems

What We're Looking For

Our client requires candidates with:

• Minimum 5 years of proven professional experience in embedded software development
• Strong proficiency with Git version control
• Resource-efficient, object-oriented programming in C for embedded systems
• Understanding of multithreading, IoT, MQTT, and TCP/IP technologies
• Hardware knowledge including DMA, SPI, USARTs, timers, and watchdogs
• German language proficiency for day-to-day collaboration

Desirable skills:

• Knowledge of control engineering
• Experience with FreeRTOS
• Familiarity with time-series databases
• Matlab/Simulink experience
