Infiniband Network Engineer

We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking an Infiniband Network Engineer to join their professional services team in Italy. Our client is building some of the world's largest AI infrastructure systems, and this role will be central to deploying and maintaining the networking backbone that powers cutting-edge computing environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and maintain Infiniband networks for AI infrastructure in Linux-based environments for new and existing customer sites
• Serve as the primary technical expert during customer planning sessions and throughout implementation phases
• Create comprehensive handover documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions to enable customers to operate sophisticated systems independently
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide timely resolutions for customer-blocking problems
• Collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to report bugs, document workarounds, and recommend system improvements
• Travel to customer sites as needed to support deployments and provide on-site technical expertise

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience deploying or supporting Infiniband networks in production environments
• Demonstrated expertise in Infiniband network troubleshooting and performance optimization
• Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve critical issues with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Authorization to work in Italy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Infiniband network certifications
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Ethernet networks
• Strong Linux system administration background
• Experience working with high-performance computing or AI infrastructure environments
