Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking a PHP Software Engineer who is fluent in Hungarian. This is a fully remote role based in Hungary, offering the opportunity to work on a cloud-native loyalty platform serving enterprise clients.

You'll join an agile engineering team focused on transforming legacy systems into modern enterprise software while maintaining exceptional uptime and performance.

Responsibilities

• Create clearly written technical specifications and documentation based on business requirements in an AI-assisted environment
• Deliver testable, secure, and performant code in PHP
• Collaborate with and coach other engineers through code reviews, quality reviews, and architecture discussions
• Debug code and production issues to improve system stability and provide outstanding uptime
• Transform legacy systems into enterprise software by applying standards and best practices
• Continuously improve the AI-assisted development environment to increase team productivity
• Manage your own workload in a high-paced agile environment

What We're Looking For

• Strong knowledge of professional software engineering principles, including SOLID principles and Clean Code practices
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL technologies (Redis, MongoDB, or similar)
• Experience leveraging and establishing guardrails for AI-assisted engineering tools to improve team velocity safely
• Understanding of cloud-native infrastructure and telemetry/observability practices for system reliability
• Experience developing complex systems and high-volume transaction applications
• Ability to clearly document requirements and specifications
• Proven ability to work on projects as part of a team in a fully remote environment
• Bias to action, desire for ownership, and passion for problem-solving
• Empathetic team player who values collaboration and peer review
• Ability to craft vision and clarify ambiguous problems into clear roadmap building blocks
• Fluency in Hungarian language required
