About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential public sector technology organization seeking a Consultant to join their team in Berlin. This role offers the opportunity to shape digital transformation initiatives across government agencies at federal, state, and local levels. You'll work on meaningful projects that modernize public services and improve citizen experiences through innovative digital solutions.

This position is based in Berlin with remote work options available throughout Germany.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to IT consulting projects for public sector clients, supporting digitalization initiatives across government agencies
• Advise clients on strategic development, organizational design, and process optimization within public administration
• Collaborate with project teams to gather client requirements and develop innovative solution strategies and concepts
• Guide implementation of new IT solutions from preparation through piloting, testing, and successful go-live
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement through workshops, information sessions, training, and change management activities
• Create clear documentation including guidelines, handbooks, and materials for governance processes
• Support technical aspects of system implementations including configuration, interfaces, data migration, customizing, and testing
• Plan post-implementation activities such as support, hypercare, user feedback collection, and transition to stable operations
• Participate in continuous learning through internal training and knowledge sharing sessions

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in political science, public administration, administrative informatics, law, business informatics, or related field that qualifies you for this role
• Initial experience in consulting or IT project management; background with public administration is particularly valued
• Strong understanding of project planning and management methodologies
• Excellent communication skills with ability to engage diverse users and stakeholders during change initiatives
• Ability to translate complex content into clear, accessible formats for various audiences
• Technical aptitude and interest in system implementation topics including configuration, interfaces, data migration, and testing
• Forward-thinking perspective on post-launch needs including support structures and user feedback integration
• Interest in public sector digitalization and how modern IT services are successfully introduced in government organizations
• Familiarity with administrative digitalization frameworks, data protection, or IT service management is beneficial but willingness to learn is most important
• Strong German language skills required for this role
