Responsibilities
Our talent team is representing a confidential technology consultancy seeking a working student to support their data platform engineering practice. In this role, you will:
- Support the design and development of cloud-native data platforms and lakehouse architectures for internal and client projects
- Contribute to implementing medallion architectures (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers), including automated data ingestion workflows
- Assist with data governance implementations, including access control and permission models
- Help automate deployments using infrastructure-as-code tooling and CI/CD pipelines
- Support the development of data quality frameworks and monitoring solutions for production environments
- Contribute to technical documentation of platform architectures and internal best practices
- Participate in internal tooling and demonstrator projects that shape the organization's data platform capabilities
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in an IT-related degree programme such as Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Science, or related discipline
- Strong knowledge of Python and SQL
- Interest in data lakehouses, data governance, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD methodologies
- Basic understanding of data modelling and data integration processes (ETL/ELT)
- Experience with Databricks and/or cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is advantageous
- Familiarity with Git and version control is desirable
- Ability to work independently and in a structured manner with strong teamwork and communication skills
- Excellent German and English language skills (at least C1 level in both languages)
- Ability to work from the Munich office at least 50% of the time
