They're seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) with a passion for women's health to provide virtual nutrition counseling with a primary focus on pregnancy and gestational diabetes management.

This is a PRN (as-needed) role requiring a minimum of 15 hours weekly availability, with opportunities to increase hours based on your preferences and patient demand. The position is fully remote and designed for clinicians who want the autonomy and flexibility of private practice without the administrative burden of running a business.

Candidates in Pacific or Mountain time zones are particularly well-suited for this role, as you'll work standard daytime hours in your local time zone while providing essential evening coverage for East Coast patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide telehealth medical nutrition therapy using functional and integrative approaches, with primary focus on pregnancy and gestational diabetes (GDM)
• Assess nutritional health of patients with attention to prenatal needs, blood sugar regulation, and hormone-related conditions
• Monitor and review daily blood glucose logs for GDM patients, providing timely feedback and ongoing support
• Educate patients on proper glucose meter use and blood sugar monitoring techniques
• Develop and modify individualized nutrition care plans with emphasis on glycemic control during pregnancy
• Coordinate care and communicate effectively with referring physicians to ensure continuity of care
• Document all appointments with strong attention to detail in the Healthie platform
• Respond to patient communications in a timely and supportive manner
• Manage a consistent patient caseload, ensuring timely follow-ups and optimal outcomes
• Stay current with emerging research in women's health, prenatal nutrition, and diabetes care
• Participate in team collaboration, case reviews, and shared learning opportunities

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Current RD/RDN registration with CDR
• Minimum 2 years of experience in outpatient or clinical nutrition care
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania (credentialing support provided; process may take 3-6 months)
• Minimum 15 hours of weekly availability, with flexibility to increase hours over time
• Experience or strong interest in prenatal nutrition, gestational diabetes, or hormone-related conditions
• Passion for integrative and functional nutrition approaches
• Willingness to be credentialed with insurance companies (fully managed by employer)
• Cannot maintain an active private practice or independent nutrition counseling business to avoid conflicts of interest

Strongly preferred:

• Availability for evening appointments to meet patient demand
• CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist) certification
• IFNA certification (IFNCP credential) or active enrollment in IFNA training
• Prior experience supporting pregnant patients or managing gestational diabetes

Pay

The employer has indicated compensation of $55 to $60 hourly for this role. This position begins as PRN/variable hours with opportunity to transition to full-time salaried status once caseload metrics are met.
