(Senior) CRM Automation & Lifecycle Manager (all genders)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential travel technology organization based in München. We're seeking a seasoned CRM Automation & Lifecycle Manager to own the complete customer relationship strategy—from initial engagement through to retention and repeat conversion.

In this role, you'll architect intelligent customer journeys that go far beyond one-off campaigns. You'll connect strategy, data, technology, and content into a coherent system that drives measurable impact on retention, conversion, and Customer Lifetime Value. This is a strategic role with hands-on execution responsibilities across email, push, and WhatsApp channels.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end automated customer journeys in a CDP platform, including trigger logic, channel orchestration, and A/B testing frameworks
• Define contact strategies and frequency management across the complete customer lifecycle for email, push notifications, and WhatsApp
• Translate RFM scoring, CLV models, and churn predictions into actionable segmentation, prioritization, and reactivation strategies
• Own and optimize journey-level performance metrics including open rates, click-through rates, unsubscribe rates, conversion rates, and revenue attribution
• Drive lifecycle and retention KPIs such as repeat purchase behavior, churn reduction, engagement scores, and Customer Lifetime Value—then derive clear optimization roadmaps
• Translate business requirements from stakeholder teams into concrete CRM initiatives, managing dependencies and representing CRM priorities across the organization
• Coordinate closely with content, analytics, data science, and technology teams to ensure seamless integration of journeys, data infrastructure, creative assets, and platform capabilities
• Identify and implement AI and automation opportunities to scale lifecycle communication programs and drive continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 6 years of experience in CRM or lifecycle marketing, with at least 3 years in a strategic role carrying end-to-end accountability for customer journeys and performance outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to make segmentation, channel selection, contact strategy, and prioritization decisions grounded in data rather than intuition
• Deep hands-on expertise with email, push notifications, and WhatsApp as CRM channels—including technical mechanics, optimal use cases, and customer experience implications
• Practical experience working with a CDP or marketing automation platform such as Bloomreach, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Emarsys
• Solid understanding of journey metrics, retention analytics, CLV modeling, and churn scoring, plus comfort working with BI dashboards or writing basic SQL queries
• Proven track record translating business requirements into scalable CRM strategies while balancing competing priorities across multiple stakeholders
• Strategic and entrepreneurial thinking paired with a pragmatic, execution-focused mindset
• Active use of AI tools in daily workflows and enthusiasm for identifying automation opportunities that drive scale and efficiency
• Native-level German (C2) with an exceptional feel for tone, voice, and customer-centric communication—you'll help shape how this brand speaks to its audience
• Strong English communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
