Associate Creative Director, Art (Pharma Ad Agency Experience Required)

Our talent team is representing a confidential healthcare marketing agency seeking an Associate Creative Director, Art with deep pharmaceutical advertising experience. This is a unique opportunity to lead visual storytelling for therapeutic brands while working with a creative team that values both strategic thinking and exceptional execution.

We're looking for someone who can conceptualize big ideas, inspire teams, and push creative boundaries within the regulated pharmaceutical landscape. You'll collaborate closely with creative leadership to develop compelling campaigns across digital, print, and traditional channels.

Responsibilities

• Lead art direction for pharmaceutical and therapeutic client campaigns across multimedia channels
• Develop visually compelling concepts that align with brand strategy and regulatory requirements
• Guide creative teams and collaborate within cross-functional groups in fast-paced environments
• Present creative solutions to clients with clear articulation of how concepts solve business challenges
• Lead pitch efforts and client presentations with confidence and polish
• Anticipate and problem-solve throughout the creative process, adapting to constraints and timelines
• Contribute to new business development and client brand growth initiatives
• Mentor junior creative staff and foster an inclusive, collaborative team culture
• Stay current on design trends and innovations while setting direction for future approaches

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education plus relevant professional experience
• 8+ years of experience in digital, print, traditional, and trade marketing
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing including disease states, product science, therapeutic industry standards, legal restrictions, and competitive landscapes
• Agency of Record (AOR) experience is required
• Background working with therapeutic clients in a pharmaceutical advertising environment
• Highly conceptual thinker with exceptional art direction abilities
• Portfolio demonstrating strategic and visually beautiful work
• Management and supervisory experience leading creative teams
• Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Ability to navigate both creative and strategic aspects of advertising and leadership
