About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential SaaS organization searching for a Staff Product Manager to join their team in the USA. Our client is building next-generation productivity software and needs a senior product leader who can operate across multiple product surfaces while driving foundational strategy.
This is not a role for PMs who manage work from the sidelines. Our client expects their product managers to be true builders who prototype, test, and ship using AI-powered tools daily. As a Staff PM, you'll own cross-functional problem spaces, mentor other product managers, and scale your impact through leverage and automation.
Responsibilities
- Define and own cross-functional problem spaces or foundational platform areas that impact multiple product surfaces
- Drive strategic alignment across product areas and make high-leverage decisions that unblock teams
- Synthesize signals from customer calls, data analytics, support trends, and partner feedback across your entire scope
- Prototype cross-cutting workflows and concepts independently to validate strategy before broader implementation
- Build and share AI workflows, frameworks, and patterns that elevate the entire PM team's capabilities
- Mentor Senior PMs and raise the overall quality bar for the product function
- Represent product perspective in senior leadership conversations spanning multiple teams
- Contribute to how the PM function operates, including discovery processes, quality definitions, and success metrics
What We're Looking For
- 6-8+ years in product management with demonstrated experience operating across multiple product areas or owning foundational platforms
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment without authority across engineering, design, data, and go-to-market teams
- Systems thinking mindset with ability to anticipate second-order effects and plan accordingly
- Balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution; you don't hand off details when scope expands
- Track record of mentoring and elevating other product managers beyond your own deliverables
- Strong data skills including ability to pull your own analyses, define meaningful metrics, and identify misleading signals
- Active use of AI tooling to scale personal productivity and coverage
- Executive-level communication skills with ability to frame complex problems crisply and land recommendations with senior stakeholders
AI Proficiency Requirements:
- Generate alignment artifacts using AI: PRDs, user flows, launch readiness documents, research synthesis, competitive analyses, and release notes
- Prototype functional experiences independently using AI coding tools like Cursor or Claude Code
- QA your own work using browser automation tools to test flows and verify edge cases
- Actively experiment with emerging AI capabilities and integrate them into your workflow
- Familiarity with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Figma AI, and MCP integrations expected
