Product Manager Platform (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential energy-technology client seeking a Product Manager Platform to shape their IoT and cloud platform ecosystem. In this role, you will bridge strategic market requirements with technical excellence, steering the platform lifecycle and driving international scaling of their Platform-as-a-Service model for the decentralized energy market.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Developing and advancing the product vision, roadmap, and value proposition for the platform and associated services
• Creating business cases, pricing models, and pricing strategies in a PaaS context, including stakeholder alignment
• Identifying, evaluating, and acquiring strategic platform partners to expand the ecosystem
• Conducting continuous market and competitive analyses with focus on international energy markets
• Managing product controlling, monitoring platform performance, and deriving targeted improvement measures
• Translating strategic business use cases and customer requirements into functional and technical specifications
• Collaborating closely with Product Owners on feature specifications and backlog prioritization
• Coordinating with technical documentation teams for optimal platform and API documentation
• Managing the complete product lifecycle from start-of-concept to end-of-life, supporting sales, marketing, and internal product training

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Economics, Engineering, or comparable qualification
• Several years of proven professional experience in product management or business development within IT, PaaS, or IoT environments; experience in renewable energy or smart energy is a strong plus
• Solid understanding of cloud architectures, edge technologies, and API-first concepts
• Strong knowledge of pricing, monetization, and business economics of SaaS/PaaS business models
• Knowledge of economic, technical, and regulatory aspects of energy markets is desirable
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills with excellent communication abilities at the intersection of technology and business
• Structured project execution and hands-on mentality
• Very good German and English language skills, written and spoken
• Ability to work in a hybrid model with regular office presence in Dresden
