About This Opportunity

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential Australian bookkeeping practice seeking an experienced AU Bookkeeper for a permanent work-from-home role based in the Philippines. This is a direct-hire opportunity with a small, supportive team that values loyalty, dedication, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

As a Bookkeeper, you will undertake all production bookkeeping activities for Australian clients. Each client has unique requirements, and your activities will include:

• Data entry and bank reconciliation
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable management
• Payroll processing, Pay as You Go withholding (PAYGW), and superannuation processing
• Managing SGC (Super Guarantee Contribution) obligations
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Preparation and lodgement of IAS (Instalment Activity Statement) and BAS (Business Activity Statement)
• Preparation of financial reports
• End of year account activities including STP (Single Touch Payroll) finalisation
• Preparation of Taxable Payment Annual Reports (TPAR)
• Supporting team members by sharing knowledge and experience
• Participating in refining company procedures

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Minimum 3 years of Australian bookkeeping experience working in an Australian public practice firm
• Positive attitude and willingness to be trained and mentored
• Highly efficient and organised with strong attention to detail
• Motivated, proactive, and persistent work style
• Ability to problem-solve and complete work in a timely manner
• Willingness to learn and embrace technology
• Desire to support and mentor other team members

Preferred:

• Formal accounting and bookkeeping qualifications
• Experience with Xero, MYOB, Gsuite, Receipt Bank (dext), or Karbon
