Account Executive – Defence

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential distributed computing organization that is transforming how enterprises, governments, and large-scale systems operate. Our talent team is seeking an Account Executive - Defence to join their growing commercial team in the United Kingdom.

This role sits at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and national security. You'll be instrumental in building strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth within the defence sector, working with government agencies, prime contractors, and system integrators across allied nations.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth of public sector business through strategic account development and pipeline generation
• Execute outbound sales campaigns, capability briefings, and engagement activities to create qualified opportunities
• Qualify prospects and deliver proof-of-value demonstrations to validate technical fit
• Establish and nurture commercial partnerships with system integrators and prime contractors
• Lead program capture activities with both partners and direct government customers
• Develop strategic proposals informed by defence industry trends, research, and competitive intelligence
• Collaborate with Sales leadership to shape defence sector strategy
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with Marketing, Product, and Innovation teams
• Manage end-to-end sales cycles from prospecting through contract closure

What We're Looking For

• Proven defence sector experience with successful program capture and/or delivery track record
• Extensive network across the Defence community including primes, system integrators, technology vendors, and government program owners
• Multi-domain expertise working with various government customers; UK MoD and US DoD experience highly preferred
• Consistent closer with documented history of exceeding annual revenue targets
• Strong understanding of government procurement processes and defence acquisition frameworks
• Ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments
• Willingness to travel as needed to support customer and prospect engagements
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive-level briefings
