Business Development Representative – Retail

About This Opportunity

Our client, a confidential technology company serving the retail sector, is launching an innovative new platform for convenience stores, grocery stores, and specialty retailers. We are representing them in the search for a Business Development Representative - Retail to join a founding team that is transforming how retailers operate.

As a Retail BDR, you will serve as the critical first step in the sales pipeline, responsible for building and qualifying the opportunities that drive growth in this emerging vertical. This is a high-activity, high-impact role for someone with a founder's mindset who thrives on building something new.

Responsibilities

• Generate targeted lists of prospective convenience stores, grocery stores, bottle shops, and other retail establishments
• Execute high-volume outreach to prospective businesses to determine mutual fit, completing 80 activities daily (primarily cold calls)
• Conduct qualification calls to understand prospect needs and determine fit for the retail solution
• Schedule meetings with qualified prospects for Account Executives, ensuring seamless handoffs
• Partner with Account Executives on strategy, messaging, and continuous feedback
• Manage all sales activities in Salesforce CRM with meticulous attention to detail
• Understand the competitive landscape and effectively position the solution in the market

Pay

This role includes base salary plus uncapped commission. Compensation details will be discussed during the screening process with our recruiting team.
