Senior Category Manager – Fresh

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential e-commerce organization seeking a Senior Category Manager to take full ownership of the fresh food category, including bakery, fruits and vegetables, and dairy products. Your mission will be to deliver exceptional quality while driving profitability through data-driven decision-making.

In this role, you will:

• Build deep category expertise by analyzing performance data, customer feedback, and supplier insights to understand market dynamics and opportunities
• Identify commercial opportunities by staying current with industry innovations and emerging trends in fresh food retail
• Optimize the supply chain end-to-end, identifying improvements in assortment, product quality, and margin performance
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure smooth daily operations while proactively addressing operational challenges
• Drive continuous improvement by developing and executing strategic action plans that elevate category performance
• Collaborate with analytics teams to extract meaningful insights and translate them into concrete commercial actions

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree in Business or Commerce with exposure to analytical environments
• 4-6 years of experience in procurement, buying, or category management within a data-driven organization; fresh food expertise is a strong plus
• Excellent command of both French and English, written and spoken
• Persistence and enthusiasm to drive projects through to successful completion
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving agility in day-to-day operations
• Genuine interest in food and consumer products, combined with solid understanding of industry trends
• Ability to work effectively with analytical tools and data to inform strategic decisions
