About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization building investment infrastructure for private markets. They're post-product-market-fit, revenue-generating, and expanding into the US ahead of a Series A round. This is your chance to join early enough to shape engineering standards while working on a platform that's already proven in production.

You'll own significant parts of a regulated platform that handles capital movement across multiple jurisdictions. The technical challenges are real—KYC/AML compliance, multi-currency payments, tax reporting, and exit orchestration—all while maintaining the speed users expect. This role sits at the intersection of serious engineering problems and meaningful business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain production systems handling financial operations across multiple regulatory environments
  • Make architectural decisions that guide LLM-generated code toward robust, maintainable solutions
  • Own end-to-end delivery of features customers interact with directly, from legal infrastructure to investor reporting
  • Set engineering standards through code quality, thoughtful reviews, and choosing which technical debt to address proactively
  • Work with Go-based systems (experience with Go is helpful but not required if you learn quickly)
  • Collaborate on redesigning development workflows around AI tooling rather than simply adding AI to existing processes
  • Navigate compliance requirements across finance, legal, and jurisdictional boundaries

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience building and running non-trivial production systems in complex domains
  • Strong architectural judgment—you understand when to build properly versus when to ship quickly, and you can articulate the trade-offs
  • Practical AI integration experience: you can discuss specifically how AI has changed your workflow, what it's accelerated, and what patterns you've shared with teams
  • Direct communication style—you give clear feedback when quality isn't meeting the bar and receive it just as well
  • Good instincts about prioritization and technical leverage: you push for work that makes the entire team faster
  • Genuine interest in understanding how capital moves through regulatory systems—this isn't background noise, it's core to what makes the product defensible

This probably isn't the right fit if: You view AI's impact on engineering as overstated, prefer fully-specified tickets over questioning requirements, or find compliance and multi-jurisdictional finance tedious rather than intellectually engaging.

How We Work With You

Candidates apply through Get A Job.ai. Our recruiter will conduct an initial screening to ensure alignment on experience, approach, and what you're looking for in your next role. If there's a strong mutual fit, we'll submit your profile to our client for their three-stage process, which typically completes within two weeks with feedback provided within 24 hours of each stage.

The client's process includes: a conversation with their Head of People and Talent to understand how you work and build, a system design session with the engineering team (no leetcode, no take-home), and a paid trial day working on a real problem with full context provided.

Important: Please do not attempt to identify or contact the client directly. All communication and coordination happens through Get A Job.ai's recruiting team.

Work Arrangement and Benefits

This role offers two setups: London hybrid with three days per week in the office, or remote from elsewhere in Europe with quarterly trips to London. The client provides comprehensive benefits including private health insurance, mental health support access, £1,000 annual wellness budget, enhanced parental leave, 4% employer pension contribution, 33 days total time off (including wellness days and flexible bank holidays), up to 6 weeks annual work-from-anywhere flexibility, and birthday leave.
