About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential social research organization in Mannheim seeking a student assistant to support survey methodology teams. This part-time position offers flexible hours and insight into academic research work at an established institute.

Responsibilities

• Support research and service activities within survey design teams, including preparation of publications and presentations
• Assist with formatting and publication of survey methodology guides in Word
• Manage academic literature using reference management software (Zotero) and create linkages to published guides
• Provide organizational support for workshops, events, and team meetings related to data quality research projects
• Handle administrative project tasks including travel planning, expense reporting, and project coordination
• Support communications, marketing, and social media activities for research initiatives
• Maintain websites, newsletters, and other informational materials

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a social science degree program (Sociology, Political Science, Psychology, or related field)
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, or willingness to develop these skills
• Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• High degree of reliability and attention to detail
• Knowledge of social science research methods and statistical software is advantageous
• Ability to work 20 hours per month with possibility to increase up to 40 hours
• Located in or willing to work in Mannheim

Pay
