(Senior) Global Product & Brand Manager (m/w/d) | Hair Professional

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential beauty products organization in their search for a (Senior) Global Product & Brand Manager to lead professional hair care portfolio development from our Munich office. This is a strategic role reporting directly to senior leadership, with responsibility for two direct reports.

Our talent team is working with a dynamic, international organization that operates with entrepreneurial energy and flat hierarchies. You'll drive the entire product lifecycle—from concept through commercialization—while collaborating with suppliers, manufacturers, R&D teams, and international distribution partners.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete product lifecycle: ideation, formulation and packaging briefings, market launches, portfolio optimization, and product discontinuation decisions
• Build and maintain supplier relationships; coordinate product development processes with manufacturers; negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities, and production terms
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, pricing studies, consumer insights, and trend analysis; translate findings into actionable product and assortment strategies
• Manage project and product budgets independently, including cost and margin calculations, and optimize product profitability
• Steer product launches end-to-end: timelines, BOMs, forecasts, and coordination with sales, supply chain, and international markets
• Organize internal and external product testing to validate claims, efficacy, and quality; manage necessary optimizations
• Develop creative concepts for product communication; lead campaign development and execution with cross-functional partners
• Collaborate with online marketing and social media teams: develop content ideas, create storyboards and briefs, and support campaign implementation
• Lead and develop a team of two, fostering growth and delegating responsibility effectively

What We're Looking For

• Completed university degree with several years of solid experience in product management and/or product development, ideally in FMCG, beauty, or professional hair care
• Strong expertise in product development, supplier and production management, and steering products across their entire lifecycle
• Proven ability to analyze pricing, costs, margins, competitors, and markets, then translate insights into concrete product and business decisions
• Demonstrated passion and experience in go-to-market and launch management, plus developing and executing innovative product concepts
• Experience collaborating with and negotiating with external suppliers and manufacturers, including managing international partnerships
• Ideally some experience leading and developing teams, with enthusiasm for motivating people, fostering growth, and delegating responsibility
• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills with strong problem-solving abilities and organizational strength
• Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills when working with internal and external stakeholders
• Courage to propose new ideas, innovative spirit, and the drive to turn them into successful products, communications, and projects
• Fluent German and English required
