Principal, Field Excellence

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking a Principal, Field Excellence to establish and maintain sales standards across their global go-to-market teams. In this individual contributor role, you will work directly with senior sales leadership to define what excellence looks like at every stage of the sales process.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Owning the sales excellence program, ensuring reps execute methodology end-to-end including pipeline generation, problem statement development, value articulation, executive meetings, and stage progression
• Serving as the resident expert in MEDDPICC and Command of the Message, driving consistent adoption across field teams
• Analyzing call data, win/loss patterns, and field observations to codify top performer behaviors into executable standards for the broader organization
• Defining behavioral rubrics and scoring criteria for AI-powered call-scoring and coaching systems
• Partnering with regional sales leaders to embed coaching and inspection of critical selling skills into regular team cadences
• Demonstrating measurable impact through changes in rep behavior, methodology adherence, pipeline generation, sales velocity, and win rates

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone who has walked the walk in enterprise sales and knows how to scale excellence across diverse teams and regions.

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of selling experience and 3+ years in sales management
• Proven track record driving adoption at regional or global scale, including owning programs, driving behavioral change, and reinforcing new practices
• Comfort working directly with call data, win/loss analytics, and pipeline metrics
• Clear understanding of key performance metrics for go-to-market organizations
• Deep working knowledge of at least one enterprise sales methodology (MEDDPICC or Command of the Message strongly preferred)
• Fluency with AI tools and experience using them to improve sales team efficiency and effectiveness
• Ability to influence and partner with senior sales leaders to drive pipeline and revenue outcomes
• Strong facilitation skills when working with experienced sellers and managers
