Zé Delivery | Platform Engineer (São Paulo – SP)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology organization in Brazil that is seeking a Platform Engineer to join their team in São Paulo. In this role, you will:

• Design and lead the evolution of an internal developer platform, ensuring scalability, governance, and an excellent developer experience
• Define and implement robust cloud-native architectures on AWS (EKS, ECS, Lambda), making high-impact technical decisions
• Serve as a technical reference in full-stack platform development, balancing quality, performance, and maintainability
• Lead the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) as an organizational standard using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation
• Define and evolve golden paths, standards, and frameworks that increase productivity and reduce complexity for engineering teams
• Guide automation and self-service infrastructure initiatives at scale
• Continuously influence and improve Developer Experience (DX) across the organization
• Work closely with multiple teams to drive platform adoption and best practices
• Lead troubleshooting of complex problems and define resilience and observability strategies
• Mentor engineers and contribute to the team's technical growth

What We're Looking For

Required Skills:

• Solid experience with AWS (EKS, ECS, Lambda) in large-scale production environments
• Strong full-stack development experience with Node.js and/or Python (backend) and React (frontend)
• Advanced experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation)
• Deep knowledge of Platform Engineering concepts including internal developer platforms, self-service infrastructure, automation at scale, and golden paths
• Experience with distributed systems architecture and cloud-native design
• Proficiency in CI/CD, DevOps practices, and deployment strategies
• Solid knowledge of observability (logs, metrics, tracing, and alerting)
• Advanced English for communication with global teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Practical experience with Backstage in production environments, including creating developer portals, software templates, custom plugins, and integrations
• Experience applying AI to engineering platforms, such as internal copilots and AI-assisted workflows
• Integration experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Bedrock, Azure OpenAI)
• Knowledge of AI platform challenges including security, governance, compliance, prompt management and versioning, and API standardization
• Experience leading platform initiatives in complex environments
• Background in DevOps, SRE, and/or Platform Engineering culture at scale
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
• Track record of technical influence and architectural decision-making
