Retail Lead, Sales Development

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential eCommerce client seeking a Retail Lead, Sales Development for a remote position in the United States. This is a leadership role focused on building and coaching a high-performing sales development team that identifies and qualifies independent retail partners.

In this position, you'll lead a team of Retail SDRs, ensuring they consistently achieve quarterly meeting and sales targets through hands-on coaching, process optimization, and cross-functional coordination. You'll also maintain direct involvement in high-value retailer relationships and the full sales cycle for small business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of Retail SDRs to achieve quarterly qualified meeting and sales targets
• Provide hands-on coaching in sales best practices, cold outreach techniques, and the retail and eCommerce landscape
• Track key business and industry trends, translating them into actionable coaching moments and process improvements
• Build and maintain direct relationships with high-value retailer accounts, participating in calls and all aspects of the sales cycle
• Improve sales processes, collateral, and prospecting capabilities to reach independent retailers more efficiently
• Strengthen cross-functional partnerships to develop scalable processes that accelerate retailer acquisition
• Optimize the sales funnel through data-driven decision making and process discipline

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Proven history of exceeding sales goals and quota
• Experience in a sales management environment, or 3 to 4 years in a sales or business development role
• Preferably eCommerce industry experience
• Track record of developing early career professionals
• Process and data-driven approach with proven sales funnel optimization success
• Demonstrated success implementing activity metrics and coaching cold outreach

Preferred:

• Creative problem-solving skills with ability to excel cross-functionally in high-growth environments
• SMB sales experience
• Retail or eCommerce background

Pay

This role includes a base salary plus sales incentive plan. The on-target earnings (OTE) range is $124,500–$157,500 USD, based on a combination of base salary and variable incentive tied to individual sales performance. The role is also eligible for equity grants. Actual compensation depends on your permanent work location within the United States and individual qualifications.
