About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential foodservice technology client in their search for a Junior Sales Manager to build their presence in Cologne. You'll work directly with chefs and restaurant managers, introducing them to a digital platform that simplifies their daily procurement. This is a field sales role with significant autonomy—no traditional sales background required, just drive, passion for hospitality, and the will to grow.

Responsibilities

• Spend most of your time in the field visiting restaurants and commercial kitchens across Cologne
• Conduct 10–15 client meetings per week and maintain consistent follow-up
• Present live product demonstrations to chefs and owners in their working environment
• Plan your weekly schedule independently (with support as needed) to meet or exceed targets
• Document activity and pipeline progress in the CRM system (training provided)
• Build genuine relationships with hospitality professionals and solve their sourcing challenges

What We're Looking For

• Background in hospitality—whether you've worked in kitchens, managed a bar, or held customer-facing roles in the industry
• Career changers welcome; prior sales or customer service experience is a strong plus
• Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
• Comfortable entering kitchens, leading conversations, listening actively, and presenting confidently
• Enthusiasm for field work and relationship-building
• Bonus: additional language fluency beyond German or English

Pay

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Cologne with significant field travel. The client offers an on-target earnings structure of €48,000–€52,000 (uncapped), with a base salary of €36,000–€40,000.
