2403 – Manufacturing Process Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential automotive manufacturing organization seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support project launch activities in Mexico. Our talent team is working with a client that operates in the automotive sector, where you'll contribute to the installation and commissioning of industrial projects across body shop and paint operations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate staging versus sequencing logic for component packages, optimizing replenishment and buffer zones
• Analyze parallel versus series flow viability for work stations, considering cycle times and operator handling requirements
• Conduct takt time studies and workload balancing to ensure layouts meet production objectives
• Collaborate with logistics teams to define material presentation strategies that minimize downtime
• Coordinate with quality and safety departments to validate designs meet ergonomic and safety standards
• Support layout engineering in translating technical requirements into design specifications
• Participate in implementation sequencing to ensure changes occur without disrupting production
• Analyze rough order of magnitude (ROM) costs and propose alternatives to optimize resources
• Document lessons learned and best practices for future projects
• Identify workflow optimization opportunities and propose data-driven improvements
• Participate in process review meetings to adjust designs based on operational feedback
• Support operator training to ensure efficient adoption of new workflows

What We're Looking For

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing sequences, work content, takt time, and operator balancing
• Ability to evaluate flow concepts, material presentation methods, and process logic
• Understanding of ergonomic implications and material handling in workstation design
• Capability to translate engineering logic into concrete layout requirements
• Experience analyzing rough order of magnitude costs and implementation sequencing
• English proficiency at B2-C1 level (upper intermediate to advanced)
• Experience with project launch coordination in paint or body shop environments preferred
