Regulatory Specialist – SG

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential nutrition company expanding across Southeast Asia. They're building a regulatory function from the ground up and need an experienced professional to own food and supplement compliance across multiple SEA markets. This is a remote role based in Singapore, offering the chance to establish regulatory foundations for a fast-growing European brand entering the region.

Responsibilities

• Own product notifications and registrations for food and dietary supplements across Southeast Asian markets
• Research local regulations and translate them into clear, actionable requirements for internal teams
• Ensure products, labels, claims and documentation comply with local regulatory frameworks
• Manage market-entry requirements including registrations, licenses, permits, import requirements, and environmental schemes
• Prepare, submit and maintain regulatory documentation throughout the product lifecycle
• Coordinate with local regulatory consultants, importers, distributors and external partners
• Communicate directly with local authorities and resolve regulatory questions or issues
• Monitor regulatory changes and identify risks or opportunities affecting product expansion
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, Quality and development teams to embed regulatory requirements early in the process
• Support new product launches by identifying compliance requirements and potential regulatory risks
• Build and maintain structured, accessible regulatory documentation and records
• Develop scalable regulatory processes and knowledge bases for future market expansion

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in regulatory affairs or product compliance, ideally in food, dietary supplements or related industries
• Strong understanding of food and/or supplement regulatory frameworks and ability to navigate different national systems
• Hands-on experience with product notifications, registrations, market-entry requirements or regulatory submissions
• Exceptional attention to detail with ability to manage multiple markets, products and projects simultaneously
• Strong research skills - able to interpret legislation and translate it into practical action steps
• Confident English communication skills for internal collaboration and external authority interactions
• Knowledge of Southeast Asian languages is a strong advantage
• Proactive and independent working style, comfortable operating in ambiguous environments
• Clear communicator across stakeholder groups, willing to ask questions and challenge existing approaches
