About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential technology services organization seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join their team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals who excel at translating business needs into technical solutions while championing Agile methodologies. You'll serve as a critical bridge between stakeholders and development teams, ensuring project success through clear requirements gathering and effective facilitation.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
- Create process flows, use cases, and user stories to ensure clarity and alignment
- Conduct gap analysis and recommend solutions to optimize processes
- Work closely with Product Owners to prioritize and manage backlogs
- Support system testing, user acceptance testing, and defect resolution
- Deliver presentations and detailed reports to stakeholders on project progress
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Coach teams on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement
- Remove impediments and shield teams from external distractions to ensure productivity
- Track and report on team metrics such as velocity, cycle time, and burndown charts
- Foster collaboration and open communication between team members and stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to Agile best practices and promote accountability
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
- Solid understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
- Proven experience in requirements gathering and documentation
- Experience with SharePoint and Power Platform capabilities
- Experience with functional testing and test documentation (test cases/test scripts)
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with project management tools like Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities with capacity to work independently
- Self-starter who can prioritize tasks based on environmental and team impacts
- DOD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain
- Must be US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
- Experience with enterprise-level software development or system implementations
- Familiarity with business process modeling tools (Visio, Lucidchart)
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools
