Customer Success Specialist

Overview

We are representing a fast-growing digital insurance organization that is transforming how Canadians access life and health coverage. Our talent team is searching for a Customer Success Specialist to join a remote-first team dedicated to delivering exceptional service throughout the policy lifecycle.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Canada with standard working hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, with flexibility to support Pacific Time as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of applications through the underwriting process, ensuring timely progression and completion
• Navigate CRM and communication platforms to complete daily task queues efficiently
• Coordinate and follow up on medical exam bookings with third-party vendors and clients
• Order and track underwriting requirements such as attending physician statements and motor vehicle records
• Handle inbound calls and respond to client emails with professionalism and clarity
• Track missed payments and assist clients with updating billing information
• Report underwriting decisions to the Medical Information Bureau and submit weekly compliance reports
• Process policy change requests including address updates and beneficiary changes
• Maintain accurate records across all systems and ensure data integrity
• Collaborate cross-functionally with advisors, quality assurance, sales, and customer service teams
• Provide feedback and participate in process improvement discussions to enhance operational efficiency

What We're Looking For

• 1–2 years of experience in insurance, customer service, or call center environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Comfortable working with multiple systems simultaneously and learning new tools quickly
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to exceptional customer service
• High integrity and reliability with pride in accuracy and thoroughness
• Proactive mindset with openness to giving and receiving constructive feedback
• Ability to work standard Eastern Time business hours with occasional Pacific Time flexibility

Pay

The total target cash compensation for this role is $55,000–$66,000 CAD annually, based on experience.
