We are representing a confidential fintech organization in their search for a Risk Operations Analyst to join their team remotely. Our client operates at the intersection of payments infrastructure and global commerce, and we're seeking an experienced professional to manage critical risk relationships with payment and financial partners.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate sound judgment navigating complex, high-stakes decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Evaluate merchant suitability across diverse business types, from venture-backed startups to established institutions
• Adhere to established processes while proactively identifying improvements and ensuring implementation
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, users, and financial partners
• Identify risk trends and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance detection systems
• Contribute to projects that optimize due diligence strategies, systems, and tooling
• Build and scale processes across the risk operations ecosystem
• Identify gaps in current systems, policies, and strategies; recommend enhancements to mitigate emerging risks through stakeholder collaboration

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or operations in fast-moving environments
• Proven track record scaling operational processes and driving quantifiable improvements
• Experience working cross-functionally on complex problems
• Strong ability to use data to quantify problems, tell compelling stories, and influence solutions
• Track record of challenging the status quo and driving meaningful change
• Creative problem-solving skills with a customer-first perspective while remaining pragmatic and solutions-oriented
• Experience analyzing feedback patterns and translating insights into process and tooling improvements
• High ownership mentality with accountability and drive toward ambitious goals
• Deep empathy for entrepreneurs and motivation to solve problems that empower businesses

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with risk assessment and mitigation strategies in financial technology environments
• Knowledge of payment processing systems and associated risks
